| The Arizona Cattlemen's Association Industry News - Arizona Protection Commission Survey | |||||||||||||
| The Arizona Agriculture Protection Commission (AAPC) has asked the Arizona Cattlemen's Association to send out a survey to our membership to better understand how much people know about the program and understand conservation easements.
AAPC is a diverse group of people chosen by the leadership of this state to help farmers and ranchers protect the food and fiber of this state. The Commission and the Agriculture Protection Fund was started in August of 2002. The purpose of the AAPA is to enable and facilitate, through a grant program, the establishment of agriculture easements to conserve farm and ranch lands. An agriculture conservation easement is a tool that a land owner can voluntarily use to purchase development rights on their land. These easements provide permanent protection of farm and ranch land that also pumps cash into the farm and ranch economy for improvements in infrastructure assets. Conservation easements are voluntary, legally recorded restrictions, in the form of a deed, on the use of the property in order to protect the resources such as agriculture land, structures, open space, and wildlife. |
